Statement of Faith

Northridge Community Church believes in God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These are three unique Persons making up the one God. We believe Jesus Christ, who created all things, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was sinless, and He was crucified and died as a sacrifice for the sin of the world. But on the third day after His death He rose from the grave. He ascended to Heaven and now sits next to God. He is our High Priest and God has granted Him the right to judge all men and women. We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, and all believers, upon receiving Jesus Christ, also receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our Counselor and Comforter. He points out sin in our life, gives us God’s direction for life and gives us the power to have victory over sin. We believe the Bible is divine revelation of God’s Word. It was written under the direction of the Holy Spirit. It is without error and is God’s chosen document for giving us direction for our life. We believe that mankind was created in the image of God but fell into sin. All men and women sin and must be born again to see God’s kingdom. We are saved by God’s grace through our faith in Christ, not by any human works. We believe the Church is the Body of Christ. We are on this Earth to be Christ’s witnesses and ambassadors with the goal of giving people the opportunity to come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Though we are sinners by nature, each Christ-follower’s goal should be to become more like Christ, to be obedient to the Holy Spirit and to be salt and light to the world around them. The Holy Spirit uniquely gifts each person in Christ; this is done so Christ-followers may build up the Body of Christ and encouraging those around him or her in their daily walk. We believe that Christ will return to Earth in bodily form and establish His Kingdom forever. All those who do not receive Christ will spend eternity in Hell and those who do receive Christ will spend eternity in Heaven. We believe this Earth will pass away and Christ will establish a new Heaven and a new Earth where all Christ-followers will reside forever.

I have become all things to all men so that
by all possible means I might save some.
